Once you accept that life is suffering, things get a lot easier and maybe even a little clearer. My best friend told me that a long time ago, and I didn't listen because I couldn't listen because I didn't know what listening was. I thought it was like hearing. It isn't. Which is fine, because we all come to things at different times. We all grow at different rates and in different directions, and growing up isn't "growing up" because you're always growing up. Life is growing up. Death is growing up. Being stalled and stuck and lost, that' growing up too. And every new piece of information or knowledge you acquire affects all the information and knowledge you've previously acquired. Every new thing remixes and recontextualizes the old stuff, which was already interwoven in a complex way. It's always moving. Gears, wheels, axles, more gears. It moves and moves and moves.
