I've written a blog post every weekday since August 11 and, like, this isn't that hard. I struggled with consistency my whole life and then I changed a few things and accepted a bit of help and now it's like... easy. I look at the screen and I think:
This is something I can do.
This is something I want to do.
This is something I will do.
It's just that simple in my head, now.
I could come up with a million reasons why I'm writing this blog, and writing it in just this way, with just this tone, and employing just this format, but if I'm being honest I like to yak (shoutout to AW, a fellow yakker) and I like to write and I like sharing ideas and perspectives and links and nonsense with people and essentially this blog is the encapsulation of all of those things working in some kind of harmony. Still, I didn't think it would be what it is clearly becoming when I started it.
If you are doing something creative and are finding it difficult, whether that means you're hitting walls or just not finding the kind of consistency you want, I suggest taking a step back and asking yourself why you're doing it, who it's for, and what you are hoping to think about it when you look back on it. I can't speak for everyone, but that kind of thing has helped me a lot.

🇰🇷📺 We finished Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE on the weekend and not only do I now understand how fandom is created over the course of K-Pop survival shows, I am now predisposed to being a KATSEYE fan. It's very, very good TV and I recommend it highly to folks who don't get K-Pop and/or who want to see how the sausage is made. (Netflix)
🎵🎵 A thing I like about this KATSEYE track is that it's essentially "Jolene" but modernized. (Spotify)

🍪🍪 One of the more interesting things we've made at home are these Gochujang Caramel Cookies because Eric Kim can do no wrong.
