october 29 etc (let's go blue jays!)
It is about 10am Eastern on October 29 and I am writing this from seat 30A of a Porter Airlines Embraer E-195 just a bit over 36,000 feet above the ground.
Earlier I was on a different plane heading to that plane.
Earlier than that I was in a can and earlier than that bed and earlier than that, by which I mean last night, I was watching the Blue Jays tie the World Series 2-2 after losing the heartbreakerest heartbreaker that ever broke a heart in 18 innings.

It is now 9:11pm Pacific and the Blue Jays are up 3-2 in their best-of-seven World Series matchup against the powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers after winning 6-1 in Game 5.
Also: people will be talking about what Trey Yesavage did tonight for a long time. Like, bro is a folk hero in Toronto forever now.
Also: it is highly unlikely that I'll be in Toronto for Game 6 (and, if needed, Game 7) and while there's a tiny piece of me that's disappointed by that it's not, like, a real disappointment. Real life is bigger than baseball (which is bigger than almost everything else) and as such I am where I am supposed to be right now.

It is now 10:34pm Pacific and if I were at home in Toronto it would be tomorrow but here it's still today, by which I mean the big blogging streak (#tbbs) is still alive and while my partner makes little honking noises as she snoozes next to me I shall complete the rest of this thing posthaste.
