I teased a new story earlier this month in the hopes that doing so would get me to finish the end of the scene. It didn't, but in my defense I developed the larger plot and even built in some roads to nowhere to infuriate readers for fun.
Still, a thing that keeps bothering me about my neighbourhood private eye character is that his name is Collin. I've never really liked the name and I don't know why I picked it. (I assume I was watching basketball and one of Collin Sexton or Collin Murray-Boyles was playing.) One of the first cool-kid-who-is-a-bully types I ever met way back in the day was a Colin. Ruined that one for me for life. There was also a kid named Brett in that group. Never liked a Brett since. A few Brets, sure. But not a double-T. A man's got to have a code.
Anyway, if you feel strongly about a certain name, let me know. I suck at naming characters. It's actually one of the main reasons I never finish stories anymore.

^^ Been staring at this still from Eyes Wide Shut for like ten minutes and only about three of those minutes were because of the edible. Shout out to the guy who posted about it in the context of production design. Also, shout out to all the production designers out there! A lot of us notice your work and celebrate your craft!

Every now and then I remember that I like CMYK Games, and it's usually around the time that their mailing list sends me something that reminds me of their existence. Anyway, if you're looking to buy some fun games to play with your family and friends this Christmas, there's probably something there for you.

Yesterday I mentioned that I was really enjoying a bunch of IKEA reissues and somehow forgot to mention this great chair, which my partner fell in love with and which was annoyingly sold out at the location we were at on Sunday. I defy anyone to sit in that guy and not think, "yeah, he's right... this is a great chair."
