Whenever one of us says something good or weird or awesome in a way that feels unique or otherwise special, one of us says "write it down" and then I do, in the Notes app on my phone. We do the same if we overhear something interesting, insane, or remarkable in some other way.
If any of this sounds familiar it's because I did a post like this on April 3.

This was ostensibly about Go-Gurt, something that didn't sound appetizing back then and definitely doesn't sound appetizing now. Also, if you say "Go-Gurt" into a mirror three times, Tony Todd murders you, buries you in a shallow grave, and builds a Pinkberry on top of your eternal resting place ββ but at least you get a nice place to haunt.

This is legitimately one of the 100 best things I have ever said. I am more proud of this line than 75% of my professional work.

It would. But as everyone knows, my drag name would be Petty Lupone. It is almost certainly being used by someone but I've been making that joke for at least 20 years.

Ryan is 27. Also, I don't know how to get in touch with Celine Dion. Also I'm not as into documentaries as I should be.

A few weeks ago in Amsterdam, this guy walking in front of us said these words in a way that alerted me to the fact that some people may have preferred venues for ice cream ordering.

This was from some idiot Hallmark cosy mystery we watched in our hotel room in Amsterdam one night.
As I mentioned on April 3, I wasn't always a writer-downer but I've been changed. I took the bad habit and hammered it into shape. These days my first instinct is to write things down. These days I consider myself an archivist as I am anything else.
It's not because I don't want to forget.
It's because I want to remember.
