Ripped a piece out of my chest and posted it yesterday. I don't think I knew how much was in that clustered paragraph, but the emotional fallout hit today and boy fuckin' howdy did it hit hard. I envy people who aren't governed by their emotions, but that isn't how I'm built. Over the years I've gotten better at not being reactive, and I've spent a lot of time honing my ability to remember bad stuff without reliving it.
