I just watched Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder play an all-timer of a Western Conference Finals Game 1 and boy are my arms tired.

Related: ESPN Insights dropped this tidbit.
Related: Shea Serrano feels like I feel right now —— and I'm not even a Spurs fan or a Thunder hater.
Also: sorry for linking to Twitter, a lot of accounts aren't on Threads yet.
At any rate, it feels noteworthy to tell you that I spent what I think was a perfect holiday Monday on spaceship earth.
I slept in. Then we went for a long walk that yielded very good gelato at Bar Ape. Then we met up with a friend and crushed a few beers (and non-alcs for me) on the patio at Ko's on Bathurst, grabbed bougie treats at Summerhill and crushed more beers (and non-alcs for me) at Crafty Coyote before parting ways.
Toronto, especially the West end, really opens up on holiday weekends when the weather is nice. People with cottages or friends who have cottages head out of the city, and, because it's a Monday, tourists are minimal outside of the deeply unfuckable downtown core. As such, I tend to notice a better, more local, more amiable crowd at all of my spots on days like this, which itself adds to the charm of days like this.
I'd write more but I want to quit while I'm ahead because I never, ever do that.
