PSA: I wrote a post on March 2. I even sent it to the friend I talked about in the post (image below) via Signal. But if you look at the entirety of my posts, it's not there.
I must have accidentally deleted it, but I promise it existed. This post is me, writing on March 3, trying to give you the gist of that post.
TL;DR a Dutch friend and I used to occasionally pepper one of our old group chats with a link to some insane or awful or awfully insane thing that happened in the States because it could only happen in the States and then type "America: forever the dumbest place" —— but that we don't do it anymore. Why? One, the group chat doesn't exist anymore. Two, even though we are not American, the things that Tr*mp and his corrupt, fascist, racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, anti-intellectual, violent, and stupid cohorts have done and are doing to America and Americans are deeply, deeply sad.
