Most of my brain has been absorbed by three dynasty fantasy basketball drafts which have been happening more or less simultaneously since Sunday. This means that I have been in conversations with no less than 20 other managers somewhat regularly since Sunday, which should be interpreted as "I desperately need to get the fuck away from my computer." But before I do, I feel like sharing a doin' that's, uh, transpired.
After spending a year on Bear, I took the plunge I had been thinking about taking for a while now and upgraded to a lifetime membership. I have no regrets.
Being away from the cacophony of the normie internet has been good for me. Since moving away from the fray (first to Micro.Blog, then to Bear) I have been writing more, writing better, and writing with low key ambition for the first time in years and years. And, because I have been writing, and because I have been ambitious, my mental health has been pretty good. Sure, it still dips sometimes, but sometimes ≠ always, and "progress not perfection" is the way we do things over here.
