Tonight was the NBA Draft. As a big basketball fan (and dynasty basketball guy) draft day is a big deal. As such, I had a plan. The plan involved my partner and I dressing up in our draft fits to pay tribute to the tremendous outfits that the young men who get drafted often wear at the draft.
An hour and change before the draft started, I had a panic attack that straight-up sheared me in half. Stuttering and difficulty getting w-w-words out. Shaking as if I was holding in a massive thunderclap. Full body clench like I was willing my hair to stop growing. Fully hypotonic pelvic floor, which locked me up and brought me to my knees —— literally. And, for good measure, my hamstrings tightened up so severely I was worried they'd fray and snap like an over-tightened E string on a violin.
In short, your boy needs to rest. But, before I go and do that, here are two things to know and then think about:
1️⃣ The "nil" in the title is a name/image/likeness reference. It's a way for college athletes to earn money.
2️⃣ Dailyn Swain, who was drafted 15th overall by the Chicago Bulls tonight, used his NIL money to pay off his mother's college debt. Great kid. Want good things for him (unless he's playing the Raptors).
