and then sometimes you sit in front of your computer with your fingers on the keyboard, on the right keys, the home row, and even though it's the thing that you do for a living and even though writing out thoughts and ideas and feelings and frustrations is the only way you can get the hyenas to stop laughing, the traffic isn't moving that well when it's moving at all it's just like

and I need at least enough cold water to make my head stop overheating because I've had a headache halo with no headache for two days now because the it's unnatural to watch the world kill itself over and over and over and yeah watching an empire die is fascinating but it's also really sad and more than a little bit gross and sometimes the ooze creeps into the edge of my peripheral vision and I know I gotta go so I drown myself in basketball and my dynasty leagues and watching tape on guys who will be drafted this summer and it feels like soma and that's okay because you cant tilt at windmills every day, sometimes you need to live in the suck for a while but that doesn't mean you have to so like save yourself if you can but if you can't make sure to take one of these gestapo motherfuckers with you
