Going to keep this one quick and dirty because it's been a pretty tough day. A few days ago I wrote something that felt fundamental and important. It felt like the beginning of something bigger, something that I've been trying to get out of me for years.
The day after I posted it, I had a mostly great day and yet when I sat down to write, the stuff I thought was going to come out... didn't. Yesterday's was a good post, but it wasn't the next part of the something bigger. Neither is this. The muse is flaky. She didn't even say goodbye. I'll try to find her this weekend and continue the bigger piece shortly.

FIFA made up a fake award the FIFA Peace Prize (no seriously) to give to Trump because he's the biggest baby on earth but at least the Guardian's David Smith was super bitchy in his article. I particularly liked when he wrote that Trump was "glowing oranger than usual" and that FIFA president Gianni Infantino "has pursued Trump as ardently as Count Dracula crossing oceans of time to find his lost love."

Los Angeles Dodgers 1B Freddie Freeman who was born in California to parents are both from Ontario (Peterborough and Windsor) —— and who played for Canada in the 2017 and 2023 World Baseball Classics —— starred in a fun spot for a Sick Kids Hospital.
